The Hacker's Workflow, Simplified

Anyone who has performed a Wi-Fi security audit knows the drill: juggling multiple terminal windows, manually managing network services, typing long `aircrack-ng` commands, and then piping handshake files over to `hashcat`. It's a powerful but fragmented process.

We created Wifi Cracker to solve this. It’s a TUI-based (Terminal User Interface) wrapper that unifies this entire workflow into a single, intuitive menu. It guides the user from hardware selection and mode switching all the way to the final cracking attempt, automating the tedious steps so you can focus on the audit itself.

Key Features

Interface & Mode Control

Automatically detects wireless interfaces and allows you to toggle between Managed and Monitor modes with a single click. It also handles restarting network services, removing a common point of friction.

Network Reconnaissance

Initiates real-time scanning of nearby networks using `airodump-ng` and allows you to focus on a specific Access Point (AP) to monitor connected clients for targeted attacks.

Auditing & Cracking

Perform targeted deauthentication attacks to capture WPA/WPA2 handshakes automatically. Once captured, the tool integrates two powerful cracking engines:

  • aircrack-ng: Ideal for quick, CPU-based dictionary attacks.
  • hashcat: Unleashes the power of your GPU for high-performance, brute-force cracking to maximize your chances of success.

It even automatically detects common wordlists like RockYou.txt to get you started faster.

System Requirements

  • Operating System: Debian-based Linux (Kali Linux is highly recommended as it comes with most dependencies pre-installed).
  • Language: Python 3.x.
  • Permissions: Full Root or Sudo access is required for hardware manipulation and network service management.
  • Hardware: Wireless adapter with Monitor Mode & Packet Injection support

Installation Guide

Step 1: Install System Dependencies

Ensure your system has the necessary tools. Wifi Cracker is a wrapper for these powerful programs.

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install -y wireless-tools net-tools aircrack-ng hashcat

Step 2: Clone the Repository

Get the source code from our official GitHub repository.

Step 3: Launch the Tool

Run the script with `sudo` to grant it the necessary permissions to control your hardware.

sudo python3 wificracker.py
